Francisca Galante, viola Iris van Nuland, violin

The violin-viola duo, consisting of Iris van Nuland and Francisca Galante, has been spreading its own voice through music since its foundation in 2021.

Iris and Francisca got to know each other at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where they continue their studies and are taught by Peter Brunt and Francien Schatborn.
In December 2022 and January 2023 they played together with the Netherlands Youth Orchestra on a tour of the Netherlands conducted by Jurjen Hempel. They played Britten's Double Concerto for violin, viola and orchestra. This opportunity arose because they both won the JON Prize at the prestigious Princess Christina Competition (2020 and 2021 respectively).
