Concerts continue at ERC Amsterdam with PuraCorda String Quartet

PuraCorda Quartet was born out of love towards everything pure gut strings have to offer. This ensemble has been brewing for three years as its core members have worked intensely together on historically informed performance practice from early music all the way up to the 20th century. Based in Amsterdam, PuraCorda Quartet solidified in 2020 and specializes in HIP interpretation of 19th and early 20th century repertoire; exciting new territory very few ensembles have explored on gut strings. For this performance at ERC Amsterdam they will present Northern Gems: a program of forgotten or otherwise relatively unknown composers, hand-picked to bring to life pieces rarely played in northern Europe.
