Ellesmere College Chapel Choir
are delighted to have the opportunity of performing here at the English Reformed Church in Amsterdam. Based in Shropshire, England, the choir are led by Ellesmere’s Director of Music, Anthony Coupe, who has continued to develop the College’s proud choral tradition. We have performed at St Peter’s Basilica and the Pantheon in Rome, Notre Dame in Paris, La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and St George’s Chapel Windsor in England. Our award-winning choir perform a varied repertoire, both a cappella and accompanied, from sacred cathedral music for traditional services in our Chapel to contemporary music as part of a busy concert schedule.
We will be performing as both a Chapel Choir and as a more intimate Chamber Choir. This concert is for anyone who loves vocal music from sacred classical to pop, and, for those who are unsure, we invite you to spend an hour in our company listening to some amazing sounds and enjoying the true beauty of music by composers including Tallis, Rutter, Coldplay, Quartel, Bach, Stanford, Finzi and many more.
