Dear Friends,

A few days ago, on the recommendation of Rob Koster, Adrienne and I visited the Dappermarkt.

We were fascinated by the huge number of stalls and the many different items on sale.

We were particularly intrigued by the fruit stalls and saw some which we had never seen before. The display and quality of the fruits was first class and it was this which persuaded us to buy so many different varieties.

It brought to mind what the Bible has to say about the fruits of the Spirit.

The fruits of the Spirit are: “Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.” - Galatians 5 v 22.

This week each one of us will have occasion to show these fruits to those we come into contact with. And it is encouraging to know that God will open up opportunities for us to be able to do this.

On our own we often struggle, but we have a Helper who works in and through us to bring out these qualities, enabling and inspiring us to be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled.

The Lord bless you and keep you,

Scott
