Concert - Dona Nouné, Georges Daccache

Dona Nouné, violon Georges Daccache, piano

A Musical roadtrip with violon and piano

This musical project was born from a musical encounter between a Lebanese-American violinist and a Franco-Lebanese pianist, both living in Paris. Their cultural openings and their respective musical experiences pushed them to explore various musical styles from various countries and cultures. With this program, they introduce us to various musical universes and eras. From English post-romanticism to French modernism, from the American jazzy universe, to Armenian and Lebanese lyricism and Spanish enthusiasm, while passing through Dutch contemporary music, the two artists defend an eclectic, rich and varied program focusing on dialogue. cultures and the mixing of styles and musical languages.

Georges Daccache, piano

I'm a pianist and composer who has called Paris home since 2004. I am one of the rare pianists that are proficient in western and arabo-eastern repertoires, as well as the syro-maronite sacred music repertoire. This is initially due and is reflected by my degrees from three different music schools: the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon (Laure Akiki's class), the Russian Conservatory "Serge Rachmaninoff" (Claire Lizé Mélonie's class), and the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris (Michael Wladkowski's class). In addition, the "Pole of Higher Education of Music Ile-de-France" awarded me my French State Diploma in piano. Being passionate about teaching, I became an expert in teaching music to toddlers starting at age three after receiving my diploma from the European Suzuki organization in London. In addition, I received the Second Prize of the Chatou City Competition in 2010, and I’ve been awarded by the Flame competition in Paris, and the Monrond-les-Bains competition.

As a soloist, chamber musician, organist, and choirmaster, I gave concerts around the world in countries such as Lebanon, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, Colombia and Venezuela. I was honored to perform at the Elysée Palace, Unesco Palace, Hôtel de Ville de Paris, Salle Cortot, Theatre Adyar, Château d'Orion Festival, Oriental Nights Festival in Dijon, Musicometa Festival Rome, Fondazione Siotto festival Calgiari, Palace of the United Nations Genève, Insitut français of Budapest, Molière theater in Brussels, theater of Fine Arts in Bogota, etc…

I am very attentive to contemporary Lebanese musical creation which I strive to disseminate as widely as possible. I was with the CPML (Lebanese Musical Heritage Center) at the time of its inauguration in Beirut-Lebanon in 2012. I am fully dedicated to the dissemination of the "Lebanese Musical Heritage" in order to publicize "the richness of the latter and preserve it to pass it on to future generations."

I am currently a professor at the Conservatory of Lagny-sur-Marne and the Suzuki Institute in Paris, and at the same time I hold the position of organist and choirmaster at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lebanon in Paris. In parallel with my intense musical activity, I have a PhD in economic history from the university of Sorbonne-Université.
