Dear Friends,

I was listening to a radio competition where folk had to phone in and guess a missing word and could win £2,000!  Two thousand is a lot of money! And for just one word! Wow!  As you can imagine, the phone lines were red hot with people keen to take part. It’s only natural, the bigger the prize, the more desirable it is, the more effort we make to get it.  

Which is why it sometimes surprises me that there isn’t a real rush of people trying to follow Jesus. After all, think what he’s been offering; forgiveness, life in all its fullness, peace in our heart, unreserved love, a whole new start and so much. 

With Jesus there’s also a missing word but I’ll tell you it: it’s “Yes”.
